Institute of Educational Technology & Vocational Education, Panjab University Chandigarh was established on 14th July 2007 which was the part of Panjab University.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh and it is recognized and approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur & Govt. of Punjab to offer Integrated B.Ed. & Arts courses.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

The focus of the course is to prepare teachers through rigorous, consistent and expanded grooming of students into the profession of Teaching at Elementary and Secondary School Stage.

It is a co-educational private Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Chandigarh played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college was owned by the government and runs under the self-financing basis that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The college also received the many achievements awards in the field of Teacher Training under Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The college offers four years Integrated Courses in Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Education - Bachelor of Education for those who have completed their intermediate (10+2) degree with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized College/University are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their intermediate course from recognized College/University with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
