About Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), Bhopal
Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), Bhopal was popularly known as Government College of Education, Bhopal established in 1956 & had been upgraded to Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), Bhopal in 1998.
The college is an advanced research institute in languages and managed & runs by the Department of Higher Education, Bhopal.
It is one of the premier institute established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The Institute is affiliated with Barkatullah University, Bhopal and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Act, 1956.
The college was also recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal.
IASE aims at developing an international character full of confidence, quality, and relevance.
This institute is a product which has belief in the language, culture and progress are inseparable and that language is the key to solve all human problems. The IASE provides an opportunity for exploring into this interdisciplinary nature of language.
It is a co-educational approved by state government institute which is awarding its own Masters and Doctoral degrees, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Bhopal played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The campus has the potential to become a model campus with linkage and sharing of resources among IASE, DIET, Higher Secondary School, Middle School, and Primary School.
The new building of IASE, Bhopal was constructed with the Assistance of Centre and was completed in 2002. The institution finally shifted to its own building in mid-session January 2002.
The campus now encompasses an IASE, a DIET, a Higher Secondary School, and two Primary Schools, a Science Kit workshop, a study centre run by Microsoft Corporation a rare combination indeed.
The college offers the Ph.D. program and M. Phil programme for the students. It also offers Add-On Certificate courses.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Barkatullah University, Bhopal and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
The admission process of the college is absolutely fair and transparent based on the guidelines provided by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.

- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The Institute has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
