About Hitkarini Mahila Mahavidyalaya
Hitkarini Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jonesganj (Dist. Jabalpur) was popularly known as Hitkarini Women's College, Jabalpur was established in 1933 and managed by Hitkarini Sabha (R) which was established in 1868.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 31st January 1992 under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (in 1st Cycle) on 17th October 2006.
The aim of the college was maintained by our present generation of students in academic, cultural and sports activities also provide education to the masses with a very reasonable fee structure.
It is a women self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Jabalpur played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur.
The college has a history of having produced great nationalists, educationists, philosophers, writers, jurists, MLAs, MPs, and players of national and international fame, well-known alumni of the college like Osho and so on.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations and two years of postgraduate courses in Arts, and Commerce with various specializations Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur. It also offers Add-On and Certificates courses.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Rani Durgawati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
The admission process of the college is absolutely fair and transparent based on the guidelines provided by the Department of Higher Education, Govt.
of Madhya Pradesh.

- A sufficient number of classrooms with varying sizes are made available for the smooth conduct of different classes in the college
- The college has a library with a good number of books (both text and reference) on various subjects to meet the needs of the students as well as the teachers with reading room facility. Daily Newspapers and selected journals are also regularly subscribed
- State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
- The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life
- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- Internet facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
- The Transportation facility is available for students
- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
