Hingula Degree College, Solada (Dist. Angul) was established in 1991.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

It is affiliated with the Utkal University, Bhubaneswar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956. 

The aim of the college is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need in this era of information and teaching and as well as to provide an ideal environment to develop the mental, Physical, social and spiritual level of students.

The college pursues its objective of providing quality education in the field of Arts, to ensure the development of human resources both personality-wise and career-wise.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Arts, and Commerce streams with various specializations under Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.
