Himalayan Institute of Education & Technology (HIET), Chamoli was commonly known as HIET, Chamoli established in 2008. The Institute in running under the aegis of Himalayan Peoples Foundation (Society).
The Institution has located in the lap of mountains and rivers 220 Km from Dehradun towards Sri Badrinath Dham N.H., the right side of Alaknanda at Jilasu, Chamoli (Dist.), Uttarakhand. A beautiful place where you can enjoy nature and have a feeling of spiritual knowledge with professional skill.

The Institute offers courses in Education, Management and Information Technology, approved & affiliated to the Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun that is challenging and specifically designed to develop your potential and enhance your career opportunities.
Apart from these, HIET has a contact centre of Uttarakhand Open University, Haldwani to offer various undergraduate courses Arts, Commerce, Management streams & offers postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Diploma streams. It also offers various Diploma, Certificate, & Add-On courses.
The Institute also offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course from the academic session 2012 & recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.
Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.
