About Hasanath College for Women
Hasanath College for Women, Bengaluru Urban was established on 1st July 1973 under the management of Hasanath Education Society (Regd), a Minority Institution was started in the year 1971 by late Alhaj Adam Hajee Ebrahim Sait Saheb and late Alhaj H.M. Ismail Tabish Saheb.
It is one of the premier institutions established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated to Bangalore University, Bengaluru and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 16th April 1990 & 12(B) 23rd August 1994 under Act, 1956.
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.52 on a 4 Point Scale in 3rd Cycle) on 15th September 2016.
It has secured 3rd rank at the university level. Admissions are made on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying exam and as per norms prescribed by the University. It is the achievement about our college of education. It has started in 2010-11 going on successfully with full strength and sufficient teaching and non-teaching staff.
The college permanently affiliated to Bangalore University and offers education comprising of BA, B.Com, BBM and B.Sc courses with various specializations including optional languages at the undergraduate level and M.Com at Postgraduate Level.
The college has been rated one among top ten colleges in the city of Bangalore as per the survey conducted by "India Today" magazine in the year 2011. To keep pace with time, the college offers Job Oriented Courses with the financial assistance of UGC and Career Oriented Courses (COC) in ERP, Women Entrepreneurship, short term certificate courses in International Air Ticketing and Cargo Management (IATA), Personality Development Programmes for the students.

- The college has a library with a good number of books (both text and reference) on various subjects to meet the needs of the students as well as the teachers with reading room facility. Daily Newspapers and selected journals are also regularly subscribed

- State of the Art Laboratories with sufficient space and all the necessary equipment are made available to various departments
- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 10th December 2004 to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The college runs a canteen inside the campus where staff and students can have meals and snacks prepared in a hygienic manner and at an affordable cost
- Internet & Wi-Fi facilities may be availed by the students and teachers as per their needs
- Transportation facility is available for the students
- The college also has a hostel with providing all the facilities, security and good atmosphere, best suited for studies of the girls coming from far-off places
- The college has a large playground with will-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
