Gurukul College, Bathinda was established in 1997 under the guidance of there revered Saint Srupa Nand Ji, a milestone of solid human values and creative mind was laid by starting the generation next Gurukul named Gurukul College.

The college is affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The aim of the college was focus on an academic excellence, encourage independence of thought culture and individual belief and encourage social responsibility the most important moral and holistic development of students.

It was a co-educational self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Bathinda played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Punjabi University, Patiala.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Management, and Commerce streams and offers two years of post-graduation in Science streams with various specializations under Punjabi University, Patiala. It also offers Post Graduate Diploma and Add-On Certificate courses.
