Guru Nanak Dev Dental College & Research Institute, Patiala was established on 1996.

Its affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

The Trust got essentiality Certificate from Punjab Government to start the Dental College. College got affiliation from Punjabi University, Patiala and now is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

The Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare granted approval to start a Dental College with sixty (60) admissions per year on 4th September, 1997.

The college got permanent recognition from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of India. This is a big achievement for the college to get recognized in the shortest possible period which has been achieved by only a few dental colleges in the country.

The institute has achieved distinction of being one of the best institutes in the country in regard to land, building, infrastructure, equipment and above all the best senior teaching faculty mostly from well established Dental & Medical colleges of Punjab.

The college is housed in about 17 acres of land and has a beautiful four storied building having covered area of over 1.50 Lac Sq. Ft. located on Patiala-Bathinda Road, Sunam (Pb.) in lush green & peaceful surroundings. More than 70000Sq. area has been added for the college to increase the scope of departments.

Two new blocks in both the hostels has been constructed to accommodate more number of students and to provide individual rooms with attached bathrooms & small kitchen to MDS students.
