GSL Medical College, Rajahmundry was established by the GSL Educational Society in 1999.

The primary objective of the college was to promote medical education and health care in the state.

The medical institution was founded in the memory of the mother of Dr. Ganni Bhaskara Rao, Smt. Ganni Subba Lakshmi.Sri Ganni Satyanarayana Murthy, husband of Smt. Ganni Subba Lakshmi was the founder President of the college.

The medical college and hospital houses both the Pre and Para Clinical Departments, along with adequate staff and latest medical equipment as per the norms of Medical Council of India (MCI).

The college has also appointed some highly qualified and experienced clinicians in accordance to the norms of Medical Council of India (MCI).

GSL Medical College (GMC), Rajahmundry, offers many courses at the graduate and postgraduate levels.
