Green Hills Engineering College (GHEC), Solan was established in 2003, is a non-profit making educational Society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. Green Hills Engineering College Society Board of Governors is headed by Sh. Kirpal Singh, a well known businessman and educationist in Himachal Pradesh.

The college is approved by the Himachal Pradesh Government and is affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla.

Green hills engineering college was established in 2003 and since then it is imparting technical education in the field of Mechanical Engineering I Electrical Engineering I Computer Science Engineering | I.T. Engineering I Civil Engineering. We have been successful in Building strong platform for the student from the remote areas of Himachal Pradesh to get Basic Education from childhood leading to Diploma Engineering to Engineering Degree catering in our campus. AICTE approved and HPTU affiliated College meets all the standard required by the approving and affiliating authorities.

Back in 2001, there was only one engineering college in the state. Willingly or unwillingly, students had to leave their home state to other state pursue their engineering dream. This was hard, both on emotions and pocket but there was no alternative. It was than that a group of visionary gentlemen, to fulfil the need of current era laid the foundation of Green Hills Educational Society.

The aim was to make higher professional courses easily available for the students of the state. As engineering was a dream back then, the first college which Green Hills Education Society started was Green Hills Engineering College at Kumarhatti, Solan. In 2003, first batch of engineering comprising 239 students started with four streams: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering, In 2007, Information Teachnology Stream was introduced followed by civil engineering in 2010. Green Hills Engineering College is Continuous helping in Engineering dream.

MISSION

The main aim of the society is to establish and promote or render aid to schools, colleges, educational institutions, technical institutions in one or all fields of engineering (computer, information & technology, electrical & electronics, mechanical), research, medical, commerce, arts or any system of education.

To promote education, vocational technical & otherwise the diffusion of useful knowledge, medical relief, industrial training including all aspects of rural knowledge and social welfare projects, irrespective of race, caste, community and creed.

To engage in social welfare activities aimed at improving living conditions & general welfare of the poor and indigent persons of whatsoever occupation, irrespective of race, caste, community and creed.

To promote deeper spiritual values in personal and community life.

To engage employ or hire staff, workers, legal experts and other professional, attorney, principal, professor, lecturers and technical staff for the work and furtherance of the aims and objects of the society and to pay their wages, salaries and stipends.

To make students aware in the field of technical expertise, Managerial Skills, Educational Field as well as Legal affairs.

We want to provide quality education; we not only want to produce employees but entrepreneurs and employers.

To impart quality education to students from all parts of the country.

To diffuse useful secular, social and religious knowledge.

To print and publish any newspaper, periodicals, and books and to utilize other mass communication systems such as radio, television, cable etc. for spreading knowledge.

To train to maintain the personal to be in charge or different institutions of the society.

To establish building for such projects, libraries, reading rooms equipped them with the necessary supply of books, papers, Periodicals, furniture and audio visual aid.
