About Govinda Pai Memorial Government College
Govinda Pai Memorial Government College, Manjeshwar (Dist. Kasargod) is a post-graduate college was established in 1980 and managed under the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Kannur University, Kannur and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade (in 1st Cycle) on 30th October 2017.
The aim of the college is to focus on discovering, developing and drawing out the hidden talents and the magic lying dormant inside all of its students from academics to co-curricular activities, perseverance.
It is a co-educational government Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Kasargod played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college is situated in the northern part of Kerala. The college is named after the late Kannada Poet "Rashtra Kavi" Sri.Govinda Pai.
The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the Kannur University, Kannur.
The college offers three years undergraduate and two years postgraduate courses in Commerce and Science stream with various specializations under the Kannur University, Kannur.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the Kannur University, Kannur, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
