Govt. Virangana Avanti Bai Lodhi Girls College, Tikamgarh is popularly known as V. A. Bai Govt. Girls College, Tikamgarh was established in 1983 and managed by Jan Bhagidari Samiti (JBS).
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "C" Grade.
The aim of the college is to provide quality education to women for their social and economic well being and also provides education in art faculty with specialization in music and home science department.
It is a women's government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Tikamgarh played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses and two years of postgraduate courses in Arts streams with various specializations under Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
Admissions here also done through Govt. of M.P. online portal by the Department of Higher Education M.P. and hence gives a transparent and fair method of admission.
