Govt. Ayurveda medical college and Hospital, Mysore was established in 1943.

Its affiliated to RGUHS.

BAMS Graduate course & MD  in two subjects [in addition to five more soon] are offered. The College is a prominent centre of Ayurvedic education, with experienced & many enthusiastic faculty & supporting staff, the college has a vision of model college.

In fact Govt of India has announced this already! The intake for BAMS is 50 & for PG it is 7 in Kayachikitsa & 5 Ayurveda siddantha. A beautiful Herb garden with about 300 species is a sight for everybody.

Hostels for boys & girls are made available. Hospital with 175 beds housed in a structure which is announced as heritage building.

Apart from Ayurveda all other Ayush health care is provided, maned by experienced doctors & supporting staff. Special Panchakarma therapies are extremely useful & equally popular.

The treatment is supported by a very useful & highly acclaimed research which is being carried out in the PG departments.
