Govt. Girls College, Jhabua was established on 13th July 1987 and managed by Jan Bhagidari Samiti (JBS). It is also managed by Department of Higher Education, Govt. of M.P. under the tribal plan.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) on 1st April 1992 under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B+" Grade.
The aim of college was the acquisition, preservation, and transmission of knowledge to promote national and rational outlook among the girls of the region.
The college was started in accordance with the policy of the state government to have at least one girl's college in a district.
It is a women government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the tribal part of Jhabua played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts and Science streams with various specializations under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.
University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
Admissions here also done through Govt. of M.P. online portal by the Department of Higher Education M.P. and hence gives a transparent and fair method of admission.
