Govt. College of Nursing (GCN), Kottayam was established in 1982 as the third Government College of Nursing in Kerala. 

The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University and is approved by Nursing Council of India (INC) and Govt. of Kerela.

The college believe the profession of nursing makes an essential contribution to society and education for professional Nursing is best conducted in an institution of higher learning.

The college believe that professional nurses contribute to the nursing research, work toward continued improvement & growth of nursing.
