Govt. College for Women Ludhiana was established in the year 1943.

This college is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and located at District Headquarter, Rakh Bagh, Near Bharat Nagar Chowk, Ludhiana (Punjab).

It is also recognized  by U.G.C. and accredited by N.A.A.C. with B++ Grade in the year 2004.

The college is spread in over 45 acres of area which includes all the required infrastructure including playgrounds, garden, hostel, auditorium, offices etc.

The college aims to provide a complete, meaningful and relevant education to women so that they are intellectually well-trained, morally upright, socially aware and spiritually inspired.
