Govt. College Daulatpur Chowk, Una established on 10th June 1972. Previously it was known as D.A.V. College Daulatpur Chowk, but the college was taken over by the Government of H.P. on 14th September 2006.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is located 50 km. from Una. It takes exactly one hour to reach Daulatpur from Una by bus.It is 12 km from Mumbarikpur which is located on National Highway Hoshiarpur- Dharamshala. It takes 15 minutes to reach the college Campus from Mubarikpur. It is exactly between Talwara and Mubarikpur.

The college is affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is also recognized & approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Jaipur to offer B.Ed. course and the college re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.07 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 21st February 2014.

The main aim of the college is determined to provide the quality education to the future teachers. With the correct mix of technology and human touch, the college empowers the aspiring teachers to propagate education through the rungs of the society so that they serve the nation while making a satisfying career for themselves.

The college offers two years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course for those who have completed their graduation with minimum aggregate of 50% from any recognized university are eligible to apply for this course.

Students here are admitted who completed their graduation from recognized university with at least 50% marks in major or in aggregate at the Degree level. But Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.) & (O.B.C) candidates are to be entitled with a relaxation 5% marks ineligibility for admission.

Besides this, the college imparting education to students in the following Streams:

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Science and also Self Financed Courses like  M.A.(Economics), PGDCA, BBA & BCA etc.
