About Govt. College, Niwali
Govt. College, Niwali (Dist. Barwani) was keeping in view the academic demand of the area Madhya Pradesh (M.P.) the government has sanctioned graduation class from 13th September 2004 but came into existence in 2005 located in the ITI Campus.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) under Act, 1956.
The aim of the college was fulfilling the needs of the students of Barwani district and the adjacent areas of Sendhwa also a large number of students come from a tribal and rural area for admission in the college.
It was a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural and tribal part of Barwani played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore.
Admission to various courses is granted through merit-cum-reservation policy of the Government of Madhya Pradesh and the cut off marks vary for different courses.

- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- To sharpen the skill of students and their personality development, various curricular and extra-curricular activities are the regular features of the institution
- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area
- The college also organizes workshops, seminars, and conferences for improving teaching skills and methodology
