Govt. Chhatrasal College, Pichhore (Dist. Shivpuri) was founded in July 1963 as the private institute which was undertaken by Department of Higher Education Govt. of M.P. in 1971 and managed by Jan Bhagidari Samiti (JBS).

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Jiwaji University, Gwalior and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) in 1971 under Act, 1956.

The sole aim of reaching education to the rural and industrial masses and situated on the outskirts of the Shivpuri, the college now can boost of coming a long way in the path of development of education.

It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the semi-urban part of Shivpuri played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

At this time U.G Classes in Art course where conducted. Later the college got the courses of U.G classes in Science and Commerce. In the second face, the college started to postgraduate classes in Sociology and Economics.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Jiwaji University, Gwalior.

The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Commerce streams with various specializations and two years of postgraduate courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce under Jiwaji University, Gwalior.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by Jiwaji University, Gwalior and various other examinations are held in the college premises.

Admissions here also done through Govt. of M.P. online portal by the Department of Higher Education M.P. and hence gives a transparent and fair method of admission.
