About Government Residential Polytechnic for Women
Government Residential Polytechnic for Women (GRPW), Shivamogga is a unique and first Residential Polytechnic started by the Department of Technical Education in Karnataka under the World Bank Assisted Project in 1991 on the banks of river Tunga.
- This is the sixth Women’s Polytechnic in the State of Karnataka.
- The Polytechnic is established with a main motto to impart technical education to the girl students from the Shimoga and neighboring Districts.
