Government Polytechnic, Barabanki was established in 1983 to train manpower in electronics engineering and to flourish skills of management students. It is the first institute of U.P. State Government in Barabanki District to impart technical education. The institute is run by Government of Uttar Pradesh affiliated to the Board of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh and approved by AICTE, India. The teaching methodology of the college includes class room teaching, lab practical, field exposure, industrial tour, seminar, project works, expert lectures etc.   Campus of Government Polytechnic, Barabanki -   The college campus is situated on Jahangirabad road in industrial area at a distance of 6 km. from Barabanki Jn.
