Government Girls PG College, (GGPGC) Panna was established in 1988.

It is an affiliated Government college. The aim of the college is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need in this era of information and teaching and as well as to provide ideal environment to develop mental, Physical, social and spiritual level of students.

The institute provides undergraduate and postgraduste courses in arts.

The college is affiliated to Doctor Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, originally known as University of Sagar.

The University was established in 1946 by the life time savings of Dr. Harisingh Gour, was a great patriot, philanthropist, educationist and social reformer. The University was renamed as Doctor Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya in February 1983.

It is the 18th University of India as well as the oldest and the biggest university of Madhya Pradesh.

The University has been awarded with an A Grade accreditation by  NAAC and approved by UGC.

The University is situated 5 Km. east of Sagar city and its campus is spread on 830.3 hectares on the top of Patharia hills. It is one of the finest picturesque campuses in India.
