Government Dental College & Hospita (GDCH), Ahmedabad was establisehd in 1963.

Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Ahmedabad is one of the oldest dental institutes imparting its services to the people of Gujarat and its neighboring states. Established in 1963, the college has garnered a reputation for academic and scientific excellence at national and international level.

The mission of this institute is to educate and impart best knowledge to its students, train them in clinical work and achieve Excellency, and thereby render good services and optimal care to the patients. Our Institute provides undergraduate (BDS) as well as postgraduate (MDS) courses which are recognized by Dental Council of India. Recently, PhD course has also been started at this institution.

The institute is also a recognized center for one year “Certificate course in Endodontic and Implant logy” by IGNOU. With 4 lecture halls, each having a capacity of 100 students and 3 conference room, regular lectures and seminars are delivered using latest audio visual aids. The hospital has a daily OPD of more than 400 patients from Gujarat as well as neighboring states providing quality treatment to them.

Government Dental College & Hospital Ahmedabad, located in Gujarat, is one of the renowned educational institutions of the state. The college is affiliated to the Gujarat University. The college is approved by the Dental Council Of India (DCI).

It has gained affiliation from Gujarat University, in order to conduct courses in the field of dental sciences. Currently, the dental college offers undergraduate as well as post graduate level courses in dental sciences.  

Government Dental College & Hospital Ahmedabad boasts of having modern facilities within its campus, which enable the young aspirants, acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge, which is highly required to become a competent dentist.
