Government Degree College, Bemina was established in 1970.

The college caters to the educational requirements of the student coming from far-off and frontier areas of the state like gurez, tangdar, kargil and besides the introduction of post -graduate program in commerce, like seed technology, food preservation and electronic equipment maintenance.

The department of commerce and management of the college have been allowed by the state government to run post graduate program leading to the award of M.com degree and the department for the purpose stands affiliated to the University of Kashmir.
