Government Brijindra College, Faridkot was established in 1942 in the revered memory of Maharaja Brij Inder Singh.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Punjabi University, Patiala in 1966 formerly affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1948 and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.11 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 19th February 2016.
The aim of the college was to provide good quality of education and giving an opportunity for their future growth.
It is a co-educational government Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Faridkot played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Punjabi University, Patiala.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, and Management streams with various specializations under Punjabi University, Patiala. It offers Add-On Certificate courses as well.
