Gopabandhu Women’s College, Athgarh (Dist. Cuttack) was established in 1993 was also known as Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das College, Athgarh and founded by Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das.
Late Padmabhushan Dr. Radhanath Rath and other associates gave birth to their brain child in the name of Gopabandhu Women's College, Athgarh realizing the long cherished hope of Athgarh people where women literacy percentage was very low.
