Gokul College of Education, Nalgonda was established in 1984.

It is affiliated to Osmania University.

The institute is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for offering undergraduate level course Bachelor of Education.

In this same academic year this society started B. Ed College named Gokul College of Education with an intake of 100 seats. 1988-89 academic years onwards the intake raised to 160. The founder of the society is P. Shyam Sunder, The renowned advocate in Nalgonda Town. Since then he has been acting as the President of the society and the chairman of the college. Sri J. Yadagiri was the founder secretary of the society after 2 years he became the Principal of the college under his dynamic leadership endower the society had constructed the pacca, permanent RCC Building at Gokul Nagar colony Munugodu by pass road Nalgonda town. The college got approval from the SRC, NCTE Bangalore during the academic year 2000-01. The Gokul Educational society started another Teacher education course in the college that is D.El.Ed with an intake of 50 seats from 2007-08 academic year. The intake of the course is raised to 100 seats from 2014-15 academic year. Sri P.Kashi Rmaulu, Sri G.Lingaiah, Sri M. Rajamallu(Late), Sri E. Maraiah(Late), Sri G. Mohan Reddy(Ex Minister), Sri N. Krishna Prasad, Sri A. Bayyanna, Sri T. Vishwarupa chary, Sri P. Satya Narayana(Late), Sri E.kamalakar(Late), Sri G. Rajender, Sri S. Mallesh Goud, Sri J. Sundeep Reddy, Sri V. Venkataiah, Sri M. Sharath Chandra, Sri M. Naveen, Sri E. Balaiah and Sri M.Sathish Chandra have worked hard, sweated, took many pains and tried their best to give the present position to the college.
