About Guru Nanak Prem Karamsar College, Nadala
Guru Nanak Prem Karamsar College, Nadala (Dist. Kapurthala) was established on 21st December 1969 on the eve of the 5th Birth Centenary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and came into existence in 1970 under the guidance of respected Sant Baba Majha Singh Ji of Hoti Mardaan and managed by Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee, Amritsar.
The college is affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The aim of the college was in the all-round development of the personality of students so that the passing out students should get jobs easily and the institution might become their favorite.
Later the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee, Amritsar was handover to the Guru Nanak Prem Karamsar (G.N.P.K.S.) Governing Council to manage the college.
In the same campus, Guru Nanak Prem Karamsar Collegiate School, Nadala was also running as a senior secondary school education from 2004 onwards, following the policy of the Government of Punjab.
It was a co-educational self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Kapurthala played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts and Commerce streams with various specializations under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Mohali.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Management, Science, and Commerce streams and offers two years of post-graduate in Arts streams with various specializations under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. It also offers Post Graduate Diploma and Add-On Certificate courses.

- The college has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to assure the quality of the college and also details regarding submission of Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) to NAAC annually
- The college has a significant presence in the field of research. A number of major & minor research projects are awarded to the faculty members by the UGC and other bodies
- A special complaint cell (Sexual Harassment Cell) has been formed for the female students in the college. Students can directly complain orally or by written application to the head of the cell. Apart from this, Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college campus
- The college has a large playground with well-equipment for different sports like Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Badminton and so on
- A medical facility has been available in the college for the benefit of the students
- State Government and Central Government offers a number of scholarships to the meritorious students and the students belonging to SC / ST / OBC
- The institution has provided ICT facilities like computers, projectors, audio-visual gadgets, scanners and printers to the departments and also other aids and a huge number of availability of books for effective delivery of curriculum and for inculcating the knowledge of the subject

- The college also provides NCC training to its students. The NCC cadets attend different camps and earn pride for themselves and for the college
- The college Unit NSS Wing performs different type of social services within and outside of the area

- The college consists Women Cell to help female students. This cell helps and guides girls to sort out from their personal problem and avoid them from any harassment
