Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Sciences & Research (GNIDSR), Kolkatta was established in 1999.

It is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences.

GNIDSR is the first private dental college and hospital in West Bengal possessing all the state-of-the-art equipments and infrastructural facilities for imparting the latest teaching and training in the field of Dental Surgery. It has now the distinction of being the first private dental educational institution in West Bengal to be awarded Recognition by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India and The Dental Council of India.

The Narula Education Trust took upon itself the onerous task of providing quality technical education in the private sector in the state of West Bengal. JIS Group Educational Initiatives put its first steps through Joint Venture in the year 1998.

Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Science & Research (GNIDSR) marks the first step in this direction, keeping in mind the fact that dentistry has been one of the most neglected fields in medical science due to lack of awareness of the prevalence and severity of dental diseases among the masses.

The Institute is spread over a sprawling 5-acre campus amid lush green environment and water bodies. The campus is an ideal educational retreat providing a rare amalgam of solitude and city amenities.

The Institute has 1,54,890 sq.m of modern built-up space housing for the students. There is also a dental medical center with a functioning Hi-Tech outdoor patient department (OPD). GNIDSR has all the state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure necessary for providing the latest educational techniques.
