Over the last two decades, Globsyn Business School (GBS) has not only positioned itself amongst the best business schools in Kolkata but also as India’s only ‘Corporate B-School’, with its two years full-time AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) & Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) – Business Analytics, and MBA (Global) programme in collaboration with Malaysia University of Science & Technology. We have received many laurels from the education fraternity from time to time and have been ranked among the Top 5 B-Schools in Eastern India, as per a recent Business India’s Best B-Schools Survey.

The B-School has received many accolades from the education fraternity from time to time and has been ranked among the Top 50 B-Schools in India, as per Business India’s Best B-Schools Survey 2020. Recently, GBS has been recognized as the `Best Private Business School – West Bengal` at the ET Industry Leaders 2022, organized by The Times Group. The B-School has also been recognized as the ‘Leading B-School in Eastern India’ by The Times Group in the edition of Times Brand Icons 2021, and as the ‘Best B-School with Academic Excellence’ in Eastern India at the Asia Education Summit & Awards 2021.

HISTORY
Under the expert guidance of visionary founder Bikram Dasgupta, Globsyn successfully integrated technology and management education, giving rise to the inception of Globsyn Business School. Operated by the Dasgupta Family and led by the Legacy Team, the B-School is renowned not only for its strong industry connections but also for its leading position in fusing technology and innovative teaching methods with management education to enhance the educational experiences of its students. Bikram Dasgupta’s lifelong zeal was to develop young minds, enable them to face the challenges of the modern workplace, and be productive from day one in a world-class infrastructural setting.
A quest for continuous innovation in management education that started in 2002, from a 10,000 sq. ft. small building with a small batch of 40 bright young minds at Techno Campus, progressed to a state-of-the-art modern Work Habitat in 2006 – Globsyn Crystals – at the heart of the IT Hub in Eastern India. Today, having taken 3500+ ambitious youngsters to the next level of their professional careers, the B-School has graduated into a 100,000 sq. ft. lush green residential Globsyn Knowledge Campus, which is equipped with modern facilities like MBA Lounge, Open Air Cafeteria, Hostel, Playground, Bus Facility, Library, IT Lab and many more.
The founding vision of Globsyn Business School, more than two decades ago, was to establish a knowledge-driven society that would empower the youth of India through technology-enabled management education. The education edifice of the B-School was designed in such a way that it nurtures young minds into compassionate and socially responsible managers who will be upholding universal human values, even in this AI-dominated world of the present.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
Globsyn Business School (GBS) seamlessly blends in the Experiential Learning methodology in its curriculum to enable the students to engage in application-oriented learning. The faculty of GBS seamlessly blend in Experiential Learning into the curriculum to enable the students in application based learning and the delivery structure has been divided into classroom lectures and experiential learning sessions in the ratio of 2:1. Activities, exercises and role-plays ‘beyond traditional education’ need to be an integral part of the curriculum to ensure the students develop cognitive, inter-personal and intra-personal skills to be truly ‘ready’ and ‘relevant’ for the industry. Case based teaching, students participation in live projects, using dance as a pedagogical tool in Business Communication course, industry visits etc. all form a part of experiential learning activities.
