Global Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIT), Vellore was established in 2006 by Prasad Educational Trust. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and  affiliated to Anna University. The vision of the college is to foster technical skills into budding technocrats and upgrade the rural youth to develop technologically by providing education of global standard and to uphold the social values and make them nation proud through globalization. The college aims at dedicating and committing itself to achieve, sustain and foster unmatched excellence in technical education by pursuing continuous development of infrastructure and enhancement in state-of-art equipment to provide its students a technologically up-to-date and intellectually inspiring environment of learning, research, creativity, innovation and professional activity and inculcate in them ethical and moral values.
