Global College of Engineering & Technology, Ropar also known as GCET was established by an educational trust named as 'Global Knowledgeware Foundation'.

GCET is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, PTU, Jalandhar.

• The B Tech courses conducted by the college have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.  
• Global College of Engineering & Technology is conducting B.Tech courses in five popular branches of engineering.
