Gimageria Welfare Primary Teacher's Training Institute (GWPTTI), Contai was established with the motive of providing well trained primary teachers. The Institute is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary Education and also approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Academic activities including sessional / co- curricular activities are monitored by the teacher's council. The aim of the college is to impart proper training to the educated youth in the field of education and also to enable the prospective teacher to understand the nature, purpose. The college is equipped with modern facilities in its campus.
