Girideepam Institute of Advanced Learning, Kottayam comes under the Girideepam Group of Institutions, was established in 2008 and managed by Bethany Navajyothy Province of The Order of Imitation of Christ (OIC).

The Girideepam Group of Institutions was originated in 1975.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and it is recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The aim of the college is giving efforts to improve its profile by serving the society in different spheres imparting education through various community oriented courses at UG and PG level.

It is a co-educational self-financed Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the urban part of Kottayam played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

The college offers three years undergraduate and two years of postgraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, and Management streams with various specializations under the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. It also offers Add-On Certificate courses.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
