Geeta Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Kurukshetra is affiliated to Kurukshetra University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The Institute has been established by “Geeta Educational Trust” to develop world-class technology management and general education.
The mission of the institute is to provide world class facilities for building up centers of excellence, nurture and foster academic excellence to cater to the emerging needs of industry and community.

The institute is located in pollution free environment, 7 Km away from Kurukshetra on National Highway – 1. GIMT is situated at Kurukshetra, which is palace of great historical and religious importance. The near by places of tourist interest are Chandigarh (The city beautiful) and Shimla (The queen of hills). The nearest international airport is Chandigarh, which is about 80 Km from the institute and Delhi Airport is about170 Km. The place is well-connected by rail and road network with Delhi and Chandigarh. GIMT has signed MOUs with 30 industrial and corporate houses for training and placement of the students. GIMT is regularly organizing short term courses and workshops. The institute has IBM software Centre of Excellence for training and development of faculty and students. Institute is a member of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. GIMT is a student Chapter of The Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), New Delhi and Student Chapter of SAE India. The institute organizes various cultural and technical events. The institute is a chapter of “SANGAM KALA GROUP” which is a National level singing talent hunt group.
