Gauri Shanker Dwivedi Mahavidyalaya, Kanpur was  established in 1998.

The college is located near Kanpur rural in the village of Jhinjhak and is surounded by the lush green environment of the post of Jhinjhak.

This college is affiliated to C.S.J.M University,Kanpur.

The institute owes its existence to the benevolent act of Dr.Narendra Dwivedi who is also a remarkable personality in the C.S.J.M university.

The insitute is named in the memory of Late Dr.GAURI SHANKER DWIVEDI who was the grandfather of Dr.Narendra Dwivedi, who had established 18 colleges uptill now.
