Gangarampur B.Ed. College, Dakshin Dinajpur was established in 2005.

Gangarampur B.Ed. College as a co-educational institute of learning with the objective of expanding the scope of higher education in a remote district of West Bengal. The College has been accredited by NAAC C ++ in September 2004. The College was started to train educated youth to take up the field of education. Gangarampur B.Ed. College is affiliated to the University of Gour Banga, West Bengal and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college stands among the renowned colleges that impart one year B.Ed  programme in Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal. Besides being conveniently located, the excellent infrastructure of the campus generates an ideal ambiance for studies. With dedicated and devoted lecturers and guest lecturers, the college trains its student, to become qualified secondary and higher secondary teachers. 

Gangarampur B.Ed. College is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (N.C.T.E) and affiliated to the West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPPA / AFFL / B.Ed / 2017 / 07003) and possesses a no objection certificate from the State Council from the State Council of higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To Provide Knowledge, understanding and skills esstential for quality teacher educators.

To assist teachers in understanding theories, principles, techniques and process of teaching-learning.

To help the trainees in understanding the child's abilities, intelligence, aptitudes, emotion, instinct and interest.

To help trainees in organizing, supervising and participating in co-curricular activities for the proper assessment of both scholastic and non-scholastic domain.

Inculcating in them the constructive and naturalistic attitudes and encouraging them to cultivate some positive values.

Equipping them with such humane qualities as honesty, sincerity, discipline, the sense of responsibility, the spirit of dedication, punctuality and the spirit of self-analysis which are required of a teacher entrusted with the responsibility of making worthy future citizens of the country.
