Gandhi Smarak P. G. College, Samodhpur was established in 1973 with motto to provide higher education to boys and girls of Jaunpur District. The College is managed by a Society registered under Society Act, 1860.

Gandhi Smarak P.G. College was established in the year 1973 under the supervision of Janta Janardan who are expert especially in the academic sphere, the credit of establishment of this college goes to Freedom Fighter and MLA Late. Chaudhary Khoob Singh. The College was established in July 1973 and affiliated by Agra University Agra that in February 1975 College affiliated by M.J.P. Rohilkhand University Bareilly.

Faculty members are the backbone of an institution. If the building & infrastructure make the body of an institution then the faculty is heart & soul of an institution. College has dedicated and committed faculty members approved by M.J.P. Rohilkhand University Bareilly.

Management of the college is committed to impart qualitative education at higher level. College has dexterously been in service of Education since their inception.

At present there are two faculties in the college Faculty of Education and Faculty of Arts, under these faculties College is running various degree courses.
