G.R.Damodaran College of Education, Coimbatore was established by The GRD Trust in 2005.

Its affiliated to Bharathiar University.

The vision of Prof. G.R.Damodaran whose cherished dream was to start a college of Education.

Over a period of four years, totally dedicated to the cause of education Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Education has made unparalleled contribution to the society by churning out a new category of teachers who could imbibe a good value system in the future generation while grooming them to meet the challenges posed by the era of evolving technological excellence.

Dr. G.R.Damodaran College of Education was launched by the Trust.

The campus stretches over 5 acres of land in a serene and semi-rural location and has well designed buildings with spacious classrooms, library, laboratories, conference and seminar halls and sufficient space for other activities like physical education, recreation, meetings and other practical activities.

The college buses are operated from Gandhipuram and Sulur and hostel facility has also been created for the benefit of students coming from the other parts of the state.
