Faculty of Hospitality Management and Catering Technology, Bengaluru was formerly known as M.S.Ramaiah College of Hotel Management is a constituent college of M.S Ramaiah Group of Institutions was established in 1993 by Late Shri M.S.Ramaiah and managed by Gokula Education Foundation.
It is affiliated with the M. S. Ramaiah University, Bengaluru and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade ( In 1st Cycle) on 8th July 2013.
The aim of the college is to impart knowledge and skills for the hospitality industries coupled with general education.
It is a co-educational self-financing institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Bengaluru played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college has received numbers of awards in the field of education, sports, and curriculum at affiliating University.
The college is one of the top Institutes in Bengaluru for Hospitality Education. The students have been consistently securing top ranks, the latest being the First Rank and Gold Medal for BHM in 2013.
The college offers 4 years an undergraduate program and two years postgraduate program in Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management (BHM) under the affiliating University.
The Department of Hotel Management at M.S.Ramaiah College has introduced student & faculty exchange programmes, Twinning Programmes, bringing in additional courses, making scholarships available to pursue integrated courses and providing a channel for students to take up their Industrial training overseas.
Admissions to the college are through Written Ability Test (WAT) conducted every year. Admissions will be based on the merit of the candidates in the Written Admission Test.
