Fateh Chand College (FFC) for Women (Lahore), Hisar was established in 1954.

The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "B" Grade - (CGPA Score 2.42 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) in September 2015.

Brief History:

It is a premier institution to the empowerment of rural and underprivileged urban girls. Rai Fateh Chand, founder of the college was a visionary who felt the need the need to empower women many decades ago.

In order to fulfill this need, he established this institution in 1935 in Lahore (Pakistan), in an effort provide ample opportunities to help them every woman attain their goals and realize their dreams.

After Partition, the institution was re-established at Hisar in 1954. The credit goes to late Pt. Thakur Das Bhargava, Seth Jaswant Rai, Pandit Nanak Chand, Seth Mahesh Chander, Bakshi Ram Kishan and Babu Mahabir Prasad Jain, Dr. Rajender Nath and many other social workers.

Their unending efforts helped the institution re-establish at Hisar and now the college occupies a prestigious place amongst the educational institutions of the region.

Due to the hard work of the first Principal, Bhai Bal Mukund and the first woman principal, Ms. Janki Chopra, this institution earned a name for itself in the region. Famous industrialist Sh. Sheoram Dass Jindal and many intellectuals, philanthropists and social workers contributed enormously to the progress of the college.

When the college started functioning at Hisar, it offered graduate level courses in languages, History, Political Science, Economics, and Philosophy. Gradually other subjects – Music (Instrumental and Vocal ), Home Science, Defence Studies, Commercial Arts, Geography, Functional English, Fashion Designing, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Biotechnology were added.

The college now offers UG courses in Science, Commerce, and Computers and post graduate courses in Commerce and Psychology.

It also offers three Add-on courses.
