The Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia was established in 1989.

Being the youngest of the Faculties of Jamia, over the last decade it has passed through various stages of development while having made significant progress towards becoming a notable center for legal learning in the capital.

The faculty has over the years grown into a full-fledged Faculty.

The intake of students, presently 50, has been deliberately kept low, so as to give individual attention to each student and to maintain better standards of discipline and legal education.

With the growth of new vistas in Law and to respond to the challenges of law and technology and other political, economic and societal needs vis-�-vis law, the Faculty is steering to expand its horizon further towards excellence in legal education.
