EMEA College of Arts & Science, Kondotti (Dist. Malappuram) is a Muslim Minority College was established in 1982 as a Junior College but came into existence on 22nd November 1983 and managed by Ernad Muslim Educational Association (EMEA)-(R).

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone on the part of progress.

The college is affiliated with University of Calicut, Malappuram and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) in September 1998 under Act, 1956.

It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (in 2nd Cycle).

The aim of the college is to establish a chain of educational institutions and cultural centres to cater to the needs of the educationally and culturally backward sections of the community.

It is a co-educational private Institute, providing a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Malappuram played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

The college was established on 1st November 1982 as a junior college offering pre-degree programmes in commerce and humanities. it was upgraded to a degree college in the year 1991.

The college is run by an elected body of the Ernad Muslim Educational Association and is named after the Association, the EMEA College of Arts & Science.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government. The student's admission is done as per the admission criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college had received many awards and accolades at a city, state and national level for their educational advancements also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of sports and curricular activities under the University of Calicut, Malappuram.

The college offers three years undergraduate and two years of postgraduate course in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams with various specializations under the University of Calicut, Malappuram.

Students should have to choose one honor (core) subject with two or more as subsidiary (elective) subjects for the specific undergraduate streams.

University examinations of different courses, examinations conducted by the University of Calicut, Malappuram, and various other examinations are held in the college premises.
