About DRV D.A.V. Centenary College
DRV D.A.V. Centenary College, Phillaur (Dist. Jalandhar) was also popularly known as DES Raj Vedhara D.A.V. Centenary College established in 1985 and managed by DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi which was established in 1886.
It was a part of the great chain of D.A.V. Institutes managed by DAV College Managing Committee (DAVCMC) is the largest non-governmental organization in the field of education in India today.
It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
The college is affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) & 12(B) under Act, 1956.
The aim of the college was to groom individuals to be physically well-developed and energetic, morally upright, intellectually well informed, socially concerned, emotionally balanced and culturally conscious, to instill in young minds a sense of national pride and patriotism, encourage them to develop rational perspective, clear vision, positive mindset and self esteem.
It is a co-educational self-financed Institute, provided a regular course in which is located in the rural part of Jalandhar played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.
The college also received the numbers of achievements awards in the field of education, sports and curricular activities under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The college offers two years intermediate courses in Arts and Commerce streams with various specializations under Council of Higher Secondary Education, Punjab.
The college offers three years undergraduate courses in Bachelor of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management streams with various specializations under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The college also offers two years postgraduate courses in Arts and Commerce streams with various specializations for the students. It offers Post Graduate Diploma and Add-On Certificate courses as well.
