Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College Karakonam Thiruvananthapuram, is a renowned medical institution in the state of Kerala, which started its journey in 2002.

with a view to provide medical education. The college is located in the village of Karakonam in Trivandrum District of Kerala and it is owned by the South Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India (SIUC). The South Kerala Medical Mission is currently in charge of running and managing the college.

The college is working as a self financing, minority institution and it is affiliated to the University of Kerala, at the moment. Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram offers several courses in various fields of medical science to the students of Kerala.

There is also a well equipped and highly developed hospital situated adjacent to the medical college and the hospital was established in 1894, as a small dispensary.

By the course of time, the hospital has grown up as a multi-speciality hospital, with the most rapid growth being done during the past 17 years.

The 500-bedded hospital has a large number of departments that are helping in providing quality education to the people of Kerala.
