Dr G.U Pope College of Education, Thoothukudi was established in 2005.

The College is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.

The College was set up with an objective of imparting quality education to the young aspirants so that they become competent teachers to serve the society.

Functioning under the administration of CSI Thoothukudi Nazareth Diocesan Trust Association, Tuticorin, Dr G.U Pope College of Education has been approved by the N.C.T.E (National Council for Teacher Education). Dr G.U Pope College of Education has equipped itself with all the necessary facilities in its campus.
