Dr. C.V. Raman University (CVRU), Bilaspur established in 2007.
It is a premium University that maintains a unique pedagogy and innovative teaching methodology.
Dr. C.V. Raman University was set up as Chhattisgarh's first private university on 3rd November 2006 and inaugurated on 14th October 2007, over a vast area of 55 acres with excellenct infrastructure in the tribal region of Kota, District Bilaspur in Chattisgarh. The Univeristy was established under Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam 2005. Over the yeats, the university has established itself as the research and educational hub of the region, covering a wide expanse of courses and fields like engineering, management, arts, science, education, law, IT, etc. The University started functioning as per its approved status and ordinances from the academic year (2007-08). It is recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE, NCTE, BCI as well as certified by ISO:9001:2008, a member of AIU, accredited with B+ Grade by NAAC, listed in NIRF ranking. It is listed in Top 30 Engineering Colelges in India (INDIA TODAY 2018).

Scholarship
Government of India Scholarship: SC/ST/OBC scholarship whose parental income is below 2 lacs
Scholarship for poor and Merits students:
Annual Income limit should be below 2,00,000 /- for SC/ST
Annual Income limit should be below 1,00,000 /- for OBC
As per government rule attendance of students in class room must be 75%
One student can get only one Scholarship or Free ship facility
Freeship:
Students securing 85% or more marks at the public examination / SSC / HSC examination will be considered for the freeship
Free scholarship in the form of full or partial remission of tuition fee granted to poor and deserving students at the beginning of every term
Special concession is given to the student from economically backward communities
Scholarships in ME/M.Tech: Scholarship/ Assistance ship of 8000/- per month is likely to be paid from MHRD to GATE qualified student work
