Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal’s College of Arts, Commerce & Science, Parbhani was established on 7th June 1984 and managed by Dnyanopasak Shikshan Mandal's, which was established in the year 1981.

It is one of the premier colleges established to impart & provide in the field of higher education for the deserving candidates and prove to be a milestone in the part of progress.
 
The college is affiliated with the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded and it is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 2(f) on 3rd June 1988 & 12(B) on 13th February 1992 under Act, 1956.
 
It is re-accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" Grade (CGPA Score 3.11 on a 4 Point Scale in 2nd Cycle) on 15th September 2012 to 14th September 2017.

The aim of the college is the commitment to social justice, with a preferential option for the poor and rural section.

The college has committed itself to provide quality education to all state and becoming the center of excellence in the process of facilitating effective teaching and learning with several career-oriented traditional and specialty programs.

It is co-educational institute, providing a regular course which is located in an urban part of Parbhani played a pioneering role in the field of higher education.

Since its inception, the college started with only undergraduate courses i.e. B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. In the first year by an elite group headed by Adv. Ganeshraoji Dudhgaonkar, Ex. M.P., Parbhani with a meager enrolment of 51 students and 09 staff members on a payroll.

Today, it has attained towering heights in quality as well as quantity in the academic field with an enrolment of 2519 Undergraduate and Postgraduate students as well as 221 Research Students. Besides, the institute has introduced new Skill and Training based courses like B.Voc. in Software Development and Retail Management.

The college conferred the status of grant-in-aid college that the fees and all the facilities for the students are fixed by the government.

The student's admission is done as per the Admission Criteria prescribed by the affiliating university.

The college was also recognized & conferred the status as “College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)" [Phase 2] by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi on 31st March 2015.

The college also offers undergraduate, postgraduate, & doctorate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, & Management streams with optional specializations under Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. It also offers Add-On Diploma & Certificate courses.
