They believe that distance education mode is an effective way of providing higher education even to unreached people living in remote areas both in conventional subjects and the professional, technical and vocational discipline.

The Directorate of Distance Education of Magadh University offers several vocational and professional courses through the distance mode of learning to such students of the country in general and the State of Bihar in particular, who have not been able to continue their education in conventional institutions due to various constraints and under special circumstances.
