Dinkarrao K. Shinde College of Education, Kolhapur started its first academic session in1990-1991.

The college is affiliated to Shivaji University and has gained the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Bhopal. Working under the guidance and sponsorship of Chh. Shahu Central Institute of Business Education & Research Trust.

The educational institution imparts comprehensive education in one year of full-time undergraduate degree level Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course.
